The Yankees stand at 4-5 right now with one game left tomorrow night. We've locked up 5th place and will meet either the 6-3 A's or Red Sox in the playoffs. We've certainly improved from game 1 when I didn't know if we would win a game.

Sarah joined some community farm thing and we get to pick up fresh veges once a week for 11 weeks. Here is the first haul. I have to admit, the garlic is tasty. It was picked fresh today and has a totally different taste than store bought.

Henry finally lost his first tooth. It came out during his baseball game.

Mr. Roeth and Henry.

Afton, Henry, Caroline and I'm not sure who this other kid is.

I had a little trouble with the blog but I'm back. Updates: My dad is out of the hospital and doing much better. He's at home and sounds like his old self. Sarah has been in Chicago since Monday and isn't getting back until late Thursday so its been boy's week here. We are going to see Toy Story 3 tonight after Henry's Camp Invention is over. Jackie had his first water day in his pre-school and is doing fabulous with his potty training. Henry still hasn't lost his tooth. Here are some photos from Henry's kindergarten "graduation".

Not sure what this video is but why not post it?

Here are some Cinci photos:
Boys and I at the game.

A tradition of taking a photo with the boys outside the stadium.

At King's Island.

Fighter pilots.

Silly photo.

Jack and I showing the faces we made coming down the log ride. Note how wet we are. Henry was scared to go down. He's like his mom, Jack probably would have ridden the Beast if he was tall enough.

Brother vs. Brother in bumper cars at Kings Island. More photos to come but its late.

We had a great time in Cincinnati, even though the Reds lost in 10 innings (we only made it through 9). Kings Island was great, we went to Nicholson's before the game and the game itself was almost perfect.

Last night I had a big work dinner and my boss, our Ohio President and my senior VP from VA came to Columbus. Today is filled with Henry's k "graduation" and a party for Jack. Tomorrow we are probably headed to King's Island then the Reds game and stay overnight in Cinci. Saturday we'll drive back for Henry's baseball game then head to the lake to celebrate our 6th Anniversary. Sunday late afternoon I have to fly to Atlanta for a dinner and a one day conference on Monday. I'm coming back Monday afternoon. None of that schedule leaves time for me to go to Massillon and see my dad but maybe I can fit it in somewhere. He's doing better, he's out of ICU and his numbers look better. Here's a pic of me and the boys at the Memorial Tournament on Sunday. Not sure what Jackie is doing with that smile but he's probably up to no good.

My dad went into the emergency room on Sunday and on Monday morning I drove up to see him. We're still not sure what's wrong with him but there are issues with his liver and kidneys. He's still in ICU and I'm hopeful he gets better soon. It doesn't seem like its his time to go right now. That's different from five years ago when mom was in the same hospital. Mom had been sick for so long that she had little quality of life and it was probably her time. Ironically, Monday is the "anniversary" of mom's death.

Here's the photo of Tiger Woods that relates to the story below. I think his smile was bigger but this was it when the photo that was snapped.

Biggest happenings this weekend:

1. Henry finally has a loose tooth. It hasn't come out yet but its close.
2. We took the kids to the Memorial Tournament today. As Tiger Woods walked past us, Jack yelled "Go Tiger". He looked over with a huge smile at Jack. Didn't wave but just smiled.
3. Baseball was rained out Saturday but since picture day was today we didn't go out to the lake. Oh, and we had dinner last night with the Ohio AT&T President and Bob Blazer so it was kinda a work night.

Henry got his year end progress information yesterday (haven't received his report card yet but the school year doesn't end until next Thursday). I'm confident that he will be moving on. His Writer's Rubric is all EXTENDING which means "student exceeds year-end expectation independently and consistently" except for uses basic punctuation which is where he is supposed to be. Developing Readers is all extending, including knowing all SECOND GRADE sight words except "around". He told me he's never seen it but he knows it now. Mathematician Rubric is all extending.

As always, we are very proud of him. I'm just hopeful he continues on this path and doesn't get bored in first grade.

Here's a photo from the Clippers game the other night. I didn't go because I was in Akron for the next Speaker of the House John Boehner but Sarah and the kids went with the Tibbitts. The Firestone event was nice but the South course is always brutal. I played well but that course just wears you down, no margin for error.
We had a huge storm blow through last night and were in the basement because of a possible tornado. I haven't seen winds like that too many times.
Henry has a ball game tonight. If it doesn't rain.
