Here are the new granite countertops at the lakehouse, along with the new bottom cabinets. This is just a dry fit photo but is pretty close to what the final product will look like. I figured there was a 20 percent chance it would fit perfectly with the likelihood increasing to 80% with the inch and a quarter play I had with the backsplash. The important part was the lefthand piece, it has to be pretty flush with the cabinet because that's where the oven goes. As you can see, that is fine. All in all, it looks like I did an acceptable job with the template. The front overhang might be a little more on the right side than the left but that's something you would have to pull a tape measure out to really notice.
