Looks like I'll be unable to share any news until after we get back from Canada. Rest assured though, it is not baby #3. We are having enough problems with baby #2 sleeping in his own room now that he isn't in his crib.
Finishing up the upstairs in the lakehouse is causing me stress too. It's like building a house, what kind of granite countertops are we getting (our one splurge, besides the tile floor), what kind of sink, what kind of faucet, measure the countertops exactly because we are doing them ourselves, slate tile or porcelin, it just never seems to end. I'm sure once we finish the basement it'll be a piece of cake. Yeah right. Fireplace, walls, 5x8 window, replacing garage door with door/windows, flooring, etc. I'll likely be in the poor house.

Vacation starts at 4:00 tomorrow. We will drive to New York and stay with Sarah's parents for 2 nights before heading to Buck Lake in Canada on Saturday morning. I think a quick visit to the Finger Lakes on Friday is on tap and maybe a winery.
There's always lots to do to get ready and this year even more with some important changes going on in our lives. More news on that later, hopefully before we leave tomorrow. And we are trying to get granite countertops for the cottage ordered before we leave, not to mention the flooring for the kitchen. When we return and get those in, I'm calling it quits on the upstairs renovation and moving on to the basement. First step, drylocking the walls.
So, don't expect any new posts unless I get bored in Canada and decide to post a tidbit. I might do that on our annual trip to Kingston http://www.cityofkingston.ca/index.asp . I enjoy visiting the city.

Here are some peppers that I'm growing behind our house. Next year we'll have a garden at the lakehouse but for now I have to make do with 6 plants.

Change, we need it.
Seriously, if you are buying 760,000 pounds of ham with stimulus money shouldn't you get a better deal than Food Lion can give you?

I wish I had something exciting to write but I don't. Sarah is in Atlanta for the night and I'm about ready to read a book. The boys are in bed, Henry temporarily in mine and Jack in his crib. He's about ready to move into a big boy bed but we aren't in any hurry.
Henry is "graduating" from Safety Town tomorrow afternoon. He's taken morning classes at the Academy the last two weeks then headed to Safety Town in the afternoon. He really likes it and I think they've done some neat things there.
Friday I'm meeting former State Rep. Jim Carmichael at the lakehouse. He's offered to help work and I'm going to pick his brain about my future projects.
Summertime is slow time for a lobbyist. I'll need to get over to Indiana soon to do some work and probably check in on Illinois but there isn't a lot going on in Ohio. We are headed to Buck Lake the first week in August and I'm looking forward to that.
